An Unusual Background
Details Landscape Art was founded by Scott Bradley, whose background is somewhat unusual for a landscape contractor.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of North Carolina and later completed a Master’s degree at Golden Gate University. This education led to a successful twenty-year career as a Certified Public Accountant in both public accounting and private industry.
While the business career was successful, it was never particularly fulfilling.
Scott had the heart of an entrepreneur and a passion for creating beautiful things. Landscaping offered an opportunity to combine creativity, problem-solving, and customer service into a business that was both rewarding and enjoyable.
Learning the Craft
Unlike many landscape contractors, Scott did not begin with formal training in horticulture or design.
The landscaping side of the business was learned through experience, observation, study, and plenty of trial and error. Over the years, he developed an understanding of plant selection, garden design, construction techniques, and the countless details that contribute to a successful landscape.
Like most successful businesses, Details Landscape Art has benefited from lessons learned along the way.
